A world that was once looked after by the gods finally started its era of human rule approximately 500 years ago. However, since the Wang Li era, the fate of the world took a drastic turn. The appearance of Fallen Angels slowly narrowed down the scope of human survival, and life was under an unprecedented threat. Although the world is in rapid decline and destruction, as a result of the Fallen Angels invasion, it still maintains its strong will to survive.
Upon the creation of the universe, Tierra was created. It is planet filled with energy and shaped like a giant fish. Created through pure energy, Tierra consumes dream shards scattered across the universe. The consumption of these shards has allowed it to grow and expand to its current state. By consuming dream shards, Tierra is also able to maintain its habitat and balance. The dream shards consumed by Tierra are digested and then released back into the universe. The universe will then power these shards and the cycle begins again.
It orbits around two stars; these two stars illuminate and darken Tierra by creating a cycle of day and night. One star rises in the east but sets in the west, the other rises in the west but sets in the east. In addition, these two stars allow for Tierra to maintain its orbital trajectory. Tierra also undergoes an axis change once a year. This alters the amount of light it receives; allowing the planet to experience various seasonal patterns.
Tierra swims across the universe while inhabitants live on the land it provides. Like earth, Tierra also has massive oceans with fast moving currents. However, no signs of life have been discovered in these waters yet.
Gloriville was one of the new countries established after the elves' rule of Tierra. Because of its dominating position and military capabilities during the Era War, it controlled the north and south sea routes along with other territories during Wang Li era. Gloriville is located in the center of Knowles continent, connecting South and North Seas. It is one of the most fertile lands in the continent, and the second largest port city in the world. The Clemens family had vision for this place. With its geographical advantages, the family spent lots of financial resources to maximize the value of the land. Currently Gloriville is in peaceful coexistence with regimes all over the world. After the Fallen Angels appeared, the human population began to feel increasingly oppressed and restricted. To prevent the collapse of political governing, Palata in Wangli year 500 began its territorial expansion policy. This led to several territorial disputes with Gloriville. However, due to the imminent threat of the Fallen Angels, the two countries reached an armistice and peace treaty in Wangli year 515 and have resumed trade and other activities.
Hilena is named the city of the sea and is one of the major cities of Gloriville, also home to the Royal Chef Guild headquarters.
Parisel is located in the center of Gloriville. Due to the eastern high mountains and the rivers, Fallens rarely appear here. People can enjoy a peaceful environmen here.
Midgar, built on the southern slopes, is the political center of Gloriville. The 19th monarch of the royal family stayed here managing the country’s affairs.
Secret Forest was once the largest virgin forest on Knowles continent. Until Gloriville was founded, it was still a settlement for humans.
A major battle was fought against Fallens in the eastern part of Secret Forest. The humans took from the south to the north of the forest to fend off Fallens. Due to command failures, the Fallens drove straight in and destroyed the tree-line fringe of Karen City. This raised fear among Gloriville residents. The survivors left Karen City and fled westwards. Some fled to Sakurajima and the rest have settled and expanded in Hilena until present. Over time, Karen City became a ruin. Only a handful of adventurers later came to fight against Fallens or explore for any treasures left behind.
In Wangli year 513, Gloriville and Palata had a fight on the border between the two countries. Thanks to the Academy's technical support, the Gloriville camp deployed advanced siege weapons on the border
Gold Tree Ranch is named after its beautiful golden leaves in the fall & currently the largest livestock farm in Gloriville. Wool & leather produced here are also exported to Nevras as a popular clothing material.
Although humans lost the elves’ protection, the Light Kingdom region, located in the northeast of the Knowles continent, was the first autonomous region formed by tribal groups. At the end of the Era War, to ensure integrity of its land, a national system was formed. Unlike humans in other regions, people here used the power of dreams to create gods; they became the leaders of Light Kingdom. But the gods of Light Kingdom usually live in human form. The sage, known as god’s nurturer, spent his entire life to nurture them. Because the lifespan of these gods are infinite, every four hundred years a new god will be selected to reign over the kingdom. Light Kingdom is located northeast of Knowles. For the high altitude, there are often mists and fogs. Light Kingdom produces rich agricultural products with a long tradition of livestock husbandry, providing a good foundation for the locals to set up a chef guild. Thanks to the mountain peaks surrounding the west and the back, there is little conflict with the neighboring countries. With its prosperous local food culture, it has secretly worked with the Academy. With all these benefits, Light Kingdom was the first in the region to found a Chef Guild.
A political center of Light Kingdom, the entire city was built between the second and third peaks of the Sacred Eight Peaks. Tamakyo's architecture consists of wood and rocks painted in gold & red. Its appearance is glamorous. Tamakyo's location is selected to guard over a gap in the eight peaks. What’s behind the gap? Only those in Tamakyo know.
Spring Town is a large town in the heart of Light Kingdom. It is home to bamboo products and tea. The water for making tea are from the hot springs of Light Kingdom; it is sweet and delicious.
Nozokyo is located on the hilltop of the Light Kingdom border & opposite of Tamakyo. Nozokyo is a place for sacrifice in Light Kingdom. Every generation's deity is born and raised here.
During the Fallens reign of havoc, the deity known as "White Tiger" led the locals to join together to defend against the Fallens’ threat. Extending from the east to the west & connecting the eastern & western mountains.The tallest point shoots well above the clouds. The Light Kingdom locales have started calling it Amagi.
The Floating Platform, which is built on the southern tip of Lake of Glass Jar, is the main building in the center of Amagi. In addition to White Tiger’s sword, the giant stone beast statue also gives people a strong sense of fear. The Floating Platform not only functions as a defense against Fallens, it also works as a water dam.
Lake of Glass Jar is the largest inland lake in the entire Knowles continent. It’s given this name because it looks like a crystalized jar from above. The lake was formed in the early days when flooding was a regular occurance. Thanks to the White Tiger, the lake has been stabilized.
Nevras is peninsula located at the starting point of the Sacred Eight Peaks. It is home to the highest mountain lake in the world and is located at the northernmost tip of Tierra. The temperature is much colder compared to other regions. The extreme north of Nevras is covered in permanent heavy snow fall. Areas closer to the southern coast are much more suitable for living. It is also famous for its outdoor hot springs, but with its strong corrosive nature, it is only used by local people as a heat source. The Academy is also located in Nevras. Established during the Elves era. Its main purpose is to teach humans how to use magic. After the school was taken over by Carl during, he only allowed those who were talented enough to be taught magic. Although the Academy remains neutral, it is still considered part of Gloriville. Humanity owes the Academy a great depth as they were the ones who discovered and awakened Food Souls. Although politically owned by Gloriville, the Academy also receives Palata’s financial support with it being in a politically neutral region. Despite the opposition from Gloriville, the royal family does not seem to have any opposing opinion about this.

After the school was taken over by Carl during, he only allowed those who were talented enough to be taught magic. Although the Academy remains neutral, it is still considered part of Gloriville. Humanity owes the Academy a great depth as they were the ones who discovered and awakened Food Souls.
The history of the Lake of Ice Tears can be traced back to the Elves era. Based on literature, when the evil spirit Ottovia was sealed in the Eight Peaks, the saints saw the tears of sorrow and unwillingness shed. Over time it gradually converged into a lake at the end of the eight peaks. Lake of Ice Tears is cold and biting. No living creature seems to able to survive in it.
Due to the influence of extreme temperatures, there were a gradual forming of Magic Crystals around the eight peaks. It was originally mined for use as a source of energy for living. Eventually, Magic Crystals became the bases to awakening Food Souls.
The polar snowfield is part of the peninsula and the coldest place in Tierra. In the Elves era, prior to the formation of the polar snowfield, there were many elves living here. Many ancient buildings remain intact. The Academy actively recruits adventurers to explore the area, but it seems, the hidden dangers within the polar snowfields are more than just the cold.
Its location at the southern tip of Nevras gives this place the highest temperatures in the entire region. The hot springs of Blue Stone Town are beautiful. These hot springs provide a lot of heat for the town. The drawback though, these hot springs are corrosive and cannot be used for bathing.
During the era of the Elves, Ottova became a devil and killed lots pf people. The high priest of the Elves asked for the power of the gods and chanted the mantras to call for the Eight Peaks. This resulted in major continental shifts; The bottom of the northern sea began to erupt with magma, forming a few connecting volcanoes. Those volcanoes became the earliest form of Sakurajima. Before the Era War, those who were sensitive enough to notice the turbulence to occur had moved to and settled on this island, becoming the first generation of Sakurajima Islanders. They have stayed and multiplied ever since. Sakurajima was originally a one-piece volcanic island. Later, due to the rising sea levels, parts of the low-lying grounds became submerged. Eventually, the North and South Islands were formed as a result. The southern islands are called by the locals "Shinohara " and the northern islands are called "Yellow Spring". At present, there is still a stable, but active volcano on Sakurajima. Over the years, it has become an indispensable source of energy for the islanders. Initially, Sakurajima traded with Gloriville and Palata. However, when the conflict between Gloriville and Palata arose, Sakurajima declared neutrality to avoid taking sides. However, even after the conflict has long subsided, Sakurajima has yet to resume any contact with the them.
During the time when Sakurajima still had communications with the outside world, this was where the island owner lived. After Wangli year 513, the island was cut off from the rest of the world. People in other regions don’t know much about Sakurajima as it remains a mysterious place.
Fuego Town is named so for its huge active volcano. The volcano has at least erupted a dozen times. In order to be able to observe and evacuate neighboring islanders in time, a group of scientists are
Moonrise Terraceis used for worshipping the moon god. Island owners over the generations would sing and dance with the islanders and offer tributes to the moon god for prosperity and peace.
This is the main living area for Shinohara islanders. Residents highly respect the current island owner. They however dislike and reject outsiders. Rumors are often heard that sea explorers from Gloriville go missing in this area.
Roshomon is a giant tree like strucutre. legend has it that a young and powerful boy was once sealed within it. After escaping this tree, it merged with an evil spirit and evetually became a Fallen Angel. Roshomon is filled with a blood-like fluid that continues to outflow. Anything this fluid touches, will eventually die. This has caused many creatures to go extinct in the area.
Originally, it functioned the same way as the Moonrise Terracein Shinohara. A place for the islanders to worship the Snake god. However, due to the Roshomon influence, the islanders no longer dare come here to hold any ceremonies.
